North Miami Class of 2020 Senior Session
Kaitlyn
North Miami Class of 2020
Senior Photography Session
I couldn’t be more excited to feature this North Miami High School Class of 2020 Senior! From the first photo we took, I knew Kaitlyn’s images were going to be BEAUTIFUL. This vibrant young lady has so much personality!
We started off Kaitlyn’s Senior Session in downtown Peru, Indiana in a hidden little alley. We designed her urban look to create a tone-on-tone style. Love how the brick red sets off her lovely blue eyes! The unique location allowed us to get lots of different “looks” and a variety of poses - from sitting, standing to leaning.
For her second outfit, Kaitlyn chose an off the shoulder green top with floral embroidery on the sleeve paired with lighter denim ripped jeans. It was perfect for a field session glowing at sunset. This time of year, the sunset can light up the golden grasses and tree leaves and create beautiful depth of field. We didn’t have to go far from Kaitlyn’s home to find a stunning setting for her images.
Are you a 2020 Senior preparing for your Senior Portrait Photography Session?
Here’s a few quick tips to help you create beautiful Senior images and have a great experience:
1. Plan your outfits in advance. Clothing is a great place to start when styling your Senior Session. Whether you prefer casual, stylish or formal attire, talk to your photographer about what you would like to wear. Your photographer will have tips on how to pick locations that work well with your clothing choices.
2. Choose a location. A unique location can make really great pictures, BUT it’s not as important as most people think! Your images are meant to feature YOU! Look for backdrops that help portray the style of images you want to create - like urban alleyways or a country field. Also, locations that mean something to you will make your images even more sentimental! (Several of Kaitlyn’s images were in walking distance from her home.)
3. Plan your outfits to show off your features. Pick a color scheme that highlights your hair and skin tone or brings out color in your eyes. Unique clothing details near your face bring interest to head and shoulder shots. Before your session, make sure each piece is ready to go - clean and wrinkle free.
4. Choose accessories that highlight your wardrobe choices. Many of your images will be from the shoulders up and accessories can add a lot of personality to close-ups. Think bold earrings, necklaces, scarves and hats!
5. Be ready to lighten up and have FUN! Capturing your personality can make your session memorable. Your photographer will help direct you with posing - guiding you on how to sit, stand, lean or where to put your hands. But don’t be afraid to laugh or just BE YOU!
