This young twenty-something is crafting her creative small business and dreaming of expansion. Two years ago, Maggie discovered her passion for candle-making when making gifts for family during the holidays. She had always loved the ambiance of candles but was disappointed in store bought. So Maggie turned her passion into a small business - SS Candle Co.

Maggie hand pours scented soy candles and wax melts. She has carefully curated her main scent collection to include customer favorites like Vanilla Sandalwood, Sweet Blueberry and Irish Coffee Shop. Originally offered in a 7 oz jar, she now offers each scent in wax melts for tart burners and 3 oz. mini discovery packs. Throughout the year, Maggie offers seasonal collections for spring, summer, fall and winter. Her candles are available online at sscandleco.com with free shipping over $20. Maggie travels to farmers markets and craft shows throughout central Indiana selling her handmade candles. Her candles are also available in select retail location and she is looking forward to expanding in small gift shoppes and boutiques in Indiana and Ohio.

Just recently I had Maggie in the studio for some new brand photography that she can use throughout her website, social media and print marketing. This girl loves basic black and white with natural organic vibes! Her style is down-to-earth and casual. She wanted images that visually portrayed her warm, sweet scents. Three style set-ups allow her to transition from a cozy winter mood into a fresh spring look.
