I couldn’t be more excited to capture the beginning of motherhood for this new mama-to-be and her husband. Jon and Anna are anxiously awaiting their newborn in December. I love that they have decide to wait to find out the gender of their baby. It will be a wonderful holiday surprise! At 32 week, Anna is glowing and feeling fabulous. Although we scheduled her session for early-November, we were so blessed to have gorgeous summer weather that made our night memorable. There is no more perfect place to capture this adventurous, expecting couple than the forest and field.
When we are planning your session, I like to consider all of the ways you might showcase your images - from styling home decor to displaying prints and canvases to creating an heirloom album for future generations. Your session will include both traditional posed portraits and more artistic creative images that capture the details and emotion of this moment in time.
My most favorite backdrop for family portraits is outside in nature. I spend a lot of time watching the light in natural locations to learn how to create depth and movement with the landscape. I just love to surround my clients in a glow of sunset - bokeh is like nature’s confetti dancing around you. I always do my best to time your session to capture the warm light that softens and makes everything beautiful!
As the sun started to set, we ended up along the shore of this beautiful lake for a few sun-drenched photos. I love the mood the golden hour creates and it reflects the JOY these two have while waiting for their little one to arrive. Anna, you are glowing and I can’t wait to meet the new addition to our family!
